Applications are now open for the University of Hong Kong (HKU) Summer Research Programme 2026! This is a 10-week intensive research training opportunity for outstanding undergraduate and master’s students from around the world.
​Hosted by one of Asia's top universities, this program offers one-on-one mentorship with eminent professors. It is designed for students interested in pursuing postgraduate research studies (MPhil/PhD) at HKU. Participants will gain hands-on research experience, attend seminars, and network with scholars globally.

Program Benefits (Funded)
Selected participants will receive generous financial support upon successful completion of the program:
- Scholarship: A cash award of HK10,000</strong>.</li>
<li><strong>Flight Reimbursement:</strong> Up to <strong>HK5,000
for air travel costs. - Accommodation Support: Up to HK$5,000 for university housing.
- PhD Offer: Top performers may receive a conditional offer for the prestigious HKU Presidential PhD Scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria
To apply, you must meet the following requirements:
- Education: You must be an outstanding Year 3 or Year 4 Undergraduate student OR a Master’s student.
- Academic Record: Strong academic background with a genuine interest in research.
- Language: Proficiency in English is required.
- Experience: Previous research experience is preferred but not mandatory.
